Vivaan Solar is now rated as ‘SP 1A‘ from SMERA Ratings Limited. Vivaan Solar got the SP 1A rating for RESCO as well as SI for on grid connected rooftop categories. The grading as such indicates “Highest Performance Capability & Highest Financial Strength”. The grading framework is based on the parameters of performance capability and financial strength of Vivaan Solar as a company to undertake rooftop solar power projects. The SP 1A grading of Vivaan Solar under the “On Grid” program is valid for a period of two years from 13 April 2017 to 12 April 2019.
The ‘SP 1A’ is the highest grade that can be achieved as per SMERA. The ratings were given by SME Ratings & Gradings Division of SMERA which is responsible for developing and providing rating and grading services for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The SP 1A rating was provided by SMERA based on the following parameters.
System Integrators (SI) Grading
The System Integrators (SI) grading’s are a benchmarking exercise that will help in identification of channel partners like Vivaan Solar who can undertake variety of solar power projects. The grading will allow channel partners like Vivaan Solar to showcase their capability in executing solar power projects including solar park and rooftop solar plants to other stakeholders like customer, lenders, suppliers, and communities. The grading/rating was done on the basis of SWOT analysis carried out by SMERA Rating Ltd.

SME Ratings & Gradings
The SME Ratings & Gradings Division of SMERA is responsible for developing and providing rating and grading services for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This division commenced its operations in 2005 has 180 members. Apart from MSME rating, the SME Ratings Division also offers grading for renewable energy service companies; grading & assessing the code of conduct of micro-finance institutions, as well as dealer & vendor assessment. It is this division that provided the SP 1A grading for Vivaan Solar.
The grading in “On Grid” program is valid for 2 years for entities with highest grades (1A, 1B and 1C); for other entities the grading is valid for 1 year. For the applicants under “Off Grid” program the grading is valid for 4 years.
