We are glad to announce that Vivaan Solar has once again bagged the contract to set up a rooftop solar power project at a railway station or its related organization. The contract won by Vivaan Solar is to setup 500 KW or 0.5 MW rooftop solar power plant at the Rail Spring Factory, Sithouli near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Vivaan Solar having participated in the tendering process bagged the contract to set up solar PV rooftop project with the objective of generating and supplying solar power on Design, Build, Finance, Operate & Transfer (DBFOT) basis. Vivaan Solar won the tender as it was declared the L1 bidder on account of quoting a price of INR 5.74/unit.
Vivaan Solar managed to stave off competition from other players in the solar power business who were in the fray namely Renew power and Horizon Power. The deal adds another feather to Vivaan Solar’s rooftop solar power expertise. The contract for the project will be signed soon and will help enhance the use of solar power by Indian Railways. This is the fourth Indian Railways project for rooftop solar power plant that has been bagged by Vivaan Solar in recent times after NCR, Bengaluru, and Jhansi. We hope to continue on this path and secure more projects from Indian Railways to boost the use of solar power in India.
